Richard's Graduation

My brother, Richard Sones, graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi this past weekend with a degree in Construction Management. He is the first of our siblings to graduate. I am so proud of him and his beautiful wife, Audra. They have both worked so hard and lived on so little to get through the past three years. We had a WONDERFUL weekend with Richard, Audra, and Owen. Also, my my mom and dad and my four sisters and some of their families. We stayed at a beautiful house on its own private lake and we canoed,fished, and just totally relaxed. It was so wonderful to be with my family (immediate and extended). I was reminded how much I love my home state and how beautiful it is. I hope we get to go back to visit often.

As you can tell, I still haven't gotten my new camera...but soon! Also, Kim, please send me pictures from your wonderful camera (no, I'm not coveting) and I will add them to these.

Locks of Love, Continued

I forgot to add a picture of the shirt I made for Abby, with help from a kind kindergarten teacher who printed the iron-on for me.

Also, I didn't give any info on Locks of Love. For those who don't know, they are an organization that makes wigs from donated hair for those who have lost their own, usually because of medical reasons like cancer. Their website if you want to check it out is http://www.locksoflove.org/.

LOCKS OF LOVE

Abigail had her cut hair cut this week and gave it to Locks of Love. She was so happy! She woke up the next morning and said, "Mom, there's no knots in my hair. I think I'm starting to like this haircut." She was so proud to show off her new locks at school the next day. I wish she could see the girl who will wear her pretty curls.

New Fashion Breakthrough

Our girls recently discovered a new fashion in the jewelry market. They are calling it Magnetix Makeovers.

Caution---jewelry may come apart during movement. The manufacturer will not be held responsible. Also poses a choking hazard to small children. Does not contain lead, peanut butter or wheat products.

IAN DRIVES!!!

Ian pulled up the van in the driveway this week. As you tell by his smile, he is very excited to do this on a permanent basis. His father and I are hoping to put that event off as long as possible! :)
